Bio
Jennifer McKinney is a marine ecology-focused instructor at t¶¶Òõapp’s ¶¶Òõapp Campus. She specializes in ecology and organismal biology and has made notable contributions to applied environmental education through the Gulf Scholars Program. Her courses are immersive and field-based, offering direct exposure to Gulf Coast ecosystems. In addition to her teaching, McKinney has professional experience in marine resource management working with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. She contributed to large-scale tagging and tracking projects of whale sharks and commercially important fisheries species such as yellowfin tuna—efforts critical to understanding migration patterns and supporting sustainable management of Gulf pelagic populations.
