Student Show Guidelines

Important Dates
March 2-3 | 2-D works must be delivered to the gallery, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
March 5 | 3-D entries must be set up in the 3-D building for jury selection before 2 p.m. |
March 6 | Students pick up unselected 2-D works from gallery, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. |
March 9 | Selected 3-D works delivered to the gallery, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
March 24 | Opening Reception and Awards at 5:00 p.m. |
April 9 | Last day of show. Show closes at 5 p.m. |
April 13-14 | Artworks must be picked up from gallery, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
Categories
- Foundations Categories:
- Drawing I And II, 2-D Design, Color Theory, And 3-D Design
- Fine Art Categories:
- Upper Level & Figure Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics
- Graphic Design Categories:
- Print, Packaging, Illustration, Typography, Web Design, Identity Campaigns (Logo Design And Branding), Digital Photography, And Motion Graphics
Eligibility
- Only currently enrolled USM students are eligible.
- All Art and Design studio course-work, produced since March 1, 2019 is eligible for entry.
- Each student may enter up to 5 total works. (Some single entries may include more than one piece.)
- Students are encouraged to enter works in a variety of categories.
Entry Process
- Take a picture of each work you plan to enter. (Optional, but preferred.)
- Complete the entry form online using the link below. Hand written forms will not be accepted.
- Upload image when completing the entry form. (This works from a computer or mobile device.)
- Submit the completed form and you will receive an email confirmation copy of the form.
- Print two copies of the email confirmation. This is your entry form.
- For each entry, have two copies signed by area instructor.
- Bring the two signed copies with each entry delivered for judging. Attach one copy to artwork.
- Works not including a signed entry form will be omitted.
