Why Sustainability Sciences?

The Sustainability Sciences Bachelor of Science program is a multidisciplinary degree designed to tackle the challenges of resilience and sustainability in both human and ecological systems. It combines core scientific disciplines (biology, chemistry, ecology, geography, GIS, statistics, and calculus) with human cultural understanding (sustainability, development, planning, cultural geography) with electives in globalization, management, economics, ethics, human wellbeing, culture, social sciences, and communication.

At its core, sustainability is about understanding systems and ensuring their ability to thrive into the future. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to analyze, manage, and enhance the interactions between people and the environment, preparing them to address complex global challenges.
