T抖阴app Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) was established under the to provide local review and oversight of nearly all forms of research utilizing recombinant DNA. T抖阴app has assigned the IBC the responsibility of reviewing and approving a variety of experimentation that involves biological materials (e.g., infectious agents) and other potentially hazardous agents (e.g., carcinogens). EHS is responsible for maintaining oversight and regulatory compliance for the IBC.
Any research or testing activity that involves the use of potentially hazardous agents (biological, chemical, or rDNA) or the construction or use of genetically engineered organisms requires review by the IBC before beginning the project. The IBC Screening Checklist must be completed and submitted to EHS to determine whether IBC approval is required.
*Note: A copy of any application, permit, license, etc. must be provided to EHS for documentation retention at the time of submission or receipt.
