Community College Transfer Students

spring 2026 or fall 2026 incoming transfer students

Students transferring from any accredited community college as their last institution attended are eligible. If your last institution attended was a community college, regardless of previous attendance at other institutions, you will be evaluated as a community college transfer student and cannot be considered for any freshman or university transfer scholarships.

  • Students must transfer within one year of enrollment at their previous institution.
  • Readmitted students to T¶¶Òõapp do not qualify for transfer scholarships.

Transfer Designation-Based Scholarships

Students must complete an online scholarship application via the GO System and submit documentation by the stated deadline for all Transfer Designation-Based Scholarships, except Phi-Theta Kappa.

Students must be attending Southern Miss within one year of their last enrollment term from their most recent institution in order to be eligible for transfer designation-based scholarships.

These awards will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning in March for students admitted for the fall semester and September for students admitted for the spring semester. We receive a general membership roster from PTK.org and use their official list to award our standard Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship in conjunction with our university requirements.

If you do not automatically receive your Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship offer, please manually upload your documentation for review through the GO System by searching for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship application (choose the correct incoming semester: spring/fall).
