Scholarships
The School of Social work has both undergraduate and graduate Social Work-specific scholarships that students may apply for through the USM Foundation.
Graduate Assistantships
Assistantships provide limited financial support during the academic year (September – May) to students in return for 20 hours of work per week.
Award decisions are made on the basis of the applicant’s ability to contribute to the work needs of the School of Social Work.
An application for assistantship cannot be considered unless the applicant has been accepted for admission. Students will be notified via email when assistantships are available. Student may also search Handshake for available assistantships or other student employment.
Financial Aid & University Scholarships
The Office of Financial Aid provides an overview of state and federal resources that you can apply for to help with the cost of attendance.
